The Healthy Americas Foundation (HAF) is committed to the best health outcomes for all.
To develop the capital to foster community innovation and improve the health of individuals and families throughout the Americas.
The first decade of HAF focused on building the infrastructure for the foundation. While many of the needs remain the same, the task for the future is to create resources to help build healthy communities throughout the Americas. Given the immediate needs, HAF will no longer focus on endowment. The Healthy Americas Foundation (HAF) is working to develop the financial capital needed to maximize the health of people throughout the Americas. The focus is on three priority areas to achieve the Foundation's mission.
- Capital: the creation of an Americas community loan program to foster new approaches and expand the reach of proven solutions that have the promise of an ongoing funding stream that will return the capital investment.
- Innovation: a seed grant program that helps community organizations throughout the Americas do the proof of concept for innovative solutions.
- Healthy Americas: a combination of grants and loans to foster community based programs for health and well being throughout the Americas.
